Many factors lead to school success and recognizing this, DePaul Cristo Rey’s Counseling program assists students with any personal, academic and social challenges that can impede their learning. DPCR’s counselors are focused on helping students overcome any obstacles they face during their four years at DPCR.
DPCR’s counselors are available every school day to meet with students individually. Students can send an email to request an appointment or can simply drop by the office to see if a counselor is available. The counselors strive to help all students understand themselves as individuals, discover their abilities and talents, and make good decisions in personal, academic and career areas.
If a parent notices a student is experiencing significant emotional problems, please contact the counselors for assistance. If needed, a counselor can assist with a referral to an outside mental health professional.
Our counseling team works with each student and family to navigate the college exploration and application process. The many aspects of DPCR's College Counseling program can be found here.
