The panel was held on the last day of a festival celebrating the opening of the new REACH at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the first expansion since the Kennedy Center opened in 1971.
Benedicte, a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, supported the panel sponsored by the National Peace Corps Association, Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, and the Peace Corps Community for Refugees.
While in DC, Benedicte also enjoyed sight-seeing at famous landmarks. She was particularly glad to see the Supreme Court Building since she aspires to be an attorney following college.
