This has been a year that has required extraordinary persistence on part of students learning mostly virtually during a global pandemic. That persistence paid off with academic accomplishments and college acceptances that DePaul Cristo Rey celebrated in a Senior Signing Day on May 7. Here’s a look.
DPCR celebrated that 100 percent of the seniors had been accepted to college in April and the May signing ceremony marked their next step – demonstrating they are moving ahead with the enrollment process at their chosen schools.
The seniors:
- plan to enroll at 23 different colleges and universities. One senior will join the Marine Corps and another will attend Aveda Institute.
- received a total of 740 acceptances to four-year colleges
- have so far earned $13.7 million in merit-based scholarships including 4 seniors with full-tuition scholarships.
