How to Become a Bruin

DePaul Cristo Rey is for students who desire a college preparatory, Catholic education but could not otherwise afford one. While we consider many factors in the admissions process, the following are most important:

Capable of college preparatory work
Low to moderate family income
Age and legal authorization to work in the United States (age 14 by September 7, 2027)
Good discipline and attendance records

STEP 2: Register for the HSPT

8th graders applying to DePaul Cristo Rey High School for the Class of 2031 must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Applicants may take the HSPT at DePaul Cristo Rey High School or another high school in the Archdiocese. Register here.
