Charles H. Dater Foundation Awards DPCR $35,000

This program provides professional and financial resources to support DPCR alumni to college completion and DPCR is the only Greater Cincinnati high school with a program of this magnitude.

This grant is earmarked for the Graduate Success Fund which provides microgrants to alumni to help them overcome financial challenges in college. Through this fund, alumni can apply for microgrants to fill college financial shortfalls such as small tuition gaps, lab fees, transportation support, books, and housing. DPCR has tracked the success of the microgrant program and has found that over 80 percent of those who have received a microgrant have stayed in school or graduated from college.

The mission of the Charles H. Dater Foundation is to make grants to nonprofit organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area to carry out projects that benefit young people in the areas of arts/culture, education, healthcare, social services, and other community needs.
