Golf Classic is Great Success

DePaul Cristo Rey’s 15th annual Golf Classic raised more than $100,000 to support programs and opportunities for students in and beyond the classroom. Held September 28 at Western Hills Country Club, the outing welcomed 120 golfers for a beautiful day on the course.

The event was chaired for the second consecutive year by Dave Lockard, retired senior vice president at CBRE, Inc. and founder and coach of the DPCR Golf Team. Lead sponsors for the outing were: Cintas, Magis Wealth Management, Mid American Gunite Pools, the Stautberg Family, and Ed & Betty Stenger. Members of the Golf Team joined a dedicated core of DPCR volunteers helping throughout the day to welcome golfers, assist with activities, and make the outing a success.

The Golf Classic featured a four-person scramble, skills contests throughout the course, lunch and a cocktail reception with prizes following the outing. The event’s proceeds support student programs and opportunities including academic and mental health support services, athletics, and college-readiness initiatives.
