New Partners and Student Credentials for Corporate Work Study

The new year of Corporate Work Study is underway with new partners and students brought something new in their toolkits: industry-specific credentials designed to give them an extra edge in the workplace and beyond. 

CWS began the week of August 31 and the week prior, every student spent a day on campus completing virtual courses in AI Ethics and earning an industry-specific micro-credential tailored to their CWS placement. The training spanned 18 industry sectors – from accounting to technology – giving students a head start before they stepped into their workplaces. Earlier in the summer, four groups of students completed more involved credential programs including the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential, OSHA 10 safety training, CompTIA technology certification, and the Drone TRUST (The Recreational UAS Safety Test) certification.
