Pat Robertson Receives Founders Leadership Award

“Pat Robertson’s legacy is one of faith in action. She shares God’s gifts humbly, loves generously, and works tirelessly to help our students Believe, Achieve, and Become.” With those words, President Jim Schurrer recognized long-time volunteer Pat Robertson while honoring her with DPCR’s Founders Leadership Award.

This award annually recognizes a person specially connected to DePaul Cristo Rey whose leadership demonstrates the inspiring qualities of St. Vincent de Paul, the school’s namesake, and the school’s founders, the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati. Those qualities are service, charity and a passion for the mission. Pat was honored during the school’s annual Founders Day Mass on September 21.

Most recently, Pat served as DPCR’s interim president during the 2025-26 school year but her service goes back to the school’s opening in 2011. She has served on and chaired the Board of Directors; served on the planning committee and chaired Rey of Light, DPCR’s largest fundraiser; she and her husband, Steve, were on the Leadership Committee for the capital campaign that funded DPCR’s new campus; she has mentored students, and she has even ironed seniors’ graduation gowns.

“That detail says so much about Pat. No responsibility is too great, and no task too small. If it helps our students or strengthens our mission, Pat is ready to serve,” says President Jim Schurrer.
