Three DePaul Cristo Rey educators have been recognized among “The Best of the Best” in Cincy Magazine’s 2019 Outstanding Educators Recognition Program. According to Cincy, the selection committee “picked teachers who went above and beyond expectations.” The list is included in the August/September issue of Cincy. DPCR honorees were nominated by Principal Paul Ebert.
The nomination for English teacher Erin Bole noted, “With a contagious love of reading, Erin continuously strives to spark that enthusiasm in her students and make them better readers, a critical skill in college-prep learning. She is also devoted to service learning both within and beyond the curriculum.”
Saloni Hemani is the Curriculum & Instruction Coordinator for the Corporate Work Study Program. Her nomination noted, “Through her work leading and instructing the Corporate Work Study curriculum…she is committed to integrating the academic and work-study programs, preparing and challenging students to become young professionals and college graduates.”
The nomination for Lynne Morris, athletic director/physical education teacher, included, “Lynne is a mentor, counselor and advocate for DPCR’s student-athletes. She has singularly built DPCR’s athletic program as well as the Health & Physical Education curriculums, strongly advocating that those subjects deserve respect and rigorous expectations.”
