All new DePaul Cristo Rey students will begin their transition to high school and their job orientation when CORE gets underway on Monday, August 5. CORE, which stands for Corporate Office Readiness Enrichment, is a mandatory, two-week program for all new students. It ends on Friday, August 16.
Each day of CORE doors will open at 7:00 a.m. All new students are expected to arrive, in full DPCR uniform, no later than 7:45 a.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served daily and CORE dismisses every day at 3:35 p.m. except for Friday, August 9 when it ends at 12:30 p.m.
During CORE new Bruins will be introduced to basic office and social skills to prepare them to begin their Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) positions.
