Pioneer Partner Western & Southern Ready for Year Four
Western & Southern Financial Group has been a Partner in DPCR’s Corporate Work Study Program since the school opened, and Vicki Alford has been a supervisor since day one. As she recently bid her student workers farewell for the summer, she was already looking ahead to the next school year. “DPCR will have its first graduating class next spring and it’s rewarding to know we’ve been a part of that from the very beginning. I’m excited for these students,” says Vicki.

“As most business owners do, I often get asked to support organizations. While it can be easier to write a check, for a long time I was in search of an organization that CR Architecture + Design could support that aligns with our business. With this program, I see the direct result of our participation. Students are benefitting and so are we,” explains David Arends, president and CEO. His company just completed its first year as a partner in DPCR’s Corporate Work Study Program.

Home City Ice Leader Believes in Power of an Early Work Ethic
“Along with academics, I believe students need to understand the role of work. This program helps them see what real life is like,” says Tom Sedler, chief executive officer of Home City Ice. Mr. Sedler continued his longstanding support of Catholic education, when he led his company into partnership with DePaul Cristo Rey’s Corporate Work Study Program in 2012.
School Outfitters' Mission Extends to CWSP Partnership
Helping educators create an environment in which children can learn and grow is the mission of School Outfitters. It’s fitting that this company, which sells school furniture and equipment, is a Partner in DePaul Cristo Rey’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). Four DPCR students are learning and growing daily while working at School Outfitters’ Cincinnati headquarters.
Gallagher SKS is Molding the Workforce of the Future
At Gallagher SKS, Office Service Supervisor Deborah Brandy agrees with the perspective that the Corporate Work Study Program is a win for both employers and students. Deborah supervises a team of four DPCR students, including sophomore Darrion Arnold whose work this year earned him a CWSP Student of the Month honor in March.
