Rey of Light is Best Ever!

Generous sponsors, eager bidders, dedicated volunteers, and a sold-out crowd all contributed to the success of this year’s Rey of Light Scholarship Benefit for Students, raising the most funds in the event’s history. Sponsorships, silent and live auction bidding, and a paddle raise for tuition assistance all combined to raise over $825,000 for financial aid for DPCR students.

Rey of Light was held April 27 at DePaul Cristo Rey and chaired by Lisa and Chuck Ciccia and Tammy and Tony Silvestri. One of the highlights of the night was the Fund-A-Need paddle raise which directly raised over $400,000 for tuition assistance. This video created by students in DPCR’s Film Program helped to inspire the bidders.
